He was predeceased by: his parents, William Douglas Bainbridge and Irma Norton Bainbridge; his siblings, William Douglas Bainbridge, Jr., Michael Bainbridge and Jane Meadows of Birmingham; and his grandson John Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Horton Bainbridge; his daughters, Lynn Williams of Greenville, S. C., Leesa Bainbridge (Rick Sylvain) of Orlando, Fla. and Laurie Burrell of Spartanburg, S. C.; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Black of Atlanta and Miles Burrell of Charleston, S. C.; and his great grandchildren, Trent Williams of Anderson, S. C. and Daphney Black of Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, John requested memorials be made to Nazareth Presbyterian Church or Mobile Meals of Spartanburg.
