As Julia Lyons departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Julia Lyons. Though Julia Lyons may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dulbert Lyons and Laura Bryant Lyons; her husband Bernard E. Brooks; and her siblings, Elbert, Warner Lyons, Nannie Lyons Boyd and Mildred Maloy Claytor.
She is survived by: her brother Bernard Lyons of Tarboro, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Brooks of Yonkers, NY and Mary Lyons of Hampton, VA. She is also survived by two nieces, one nephew, several cousins and friends; her late husband's four daughters, Sharon, Karen, Susan and Theresa.
