Kay Rice Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Kay Rice (Spartanburg, South Carolina). Kay, born on February 17, 1948, passed away on July 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Joseph Rice (Bill); her parents, John Howard and Edith Lapp Edwards; and her sisters, Kim Edwards Pulfer and Elizabeth Ann Edwards Fisher.

She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Rianne Wilkins (Charles High Wilkins) of New Prospect, SC, Joseph Daniel Maddox (Rachelle Maddox) of Las Vegas, NV and John Edward Maddox (Amy Elizabeth Denton); her grandchildren, Lindsey Wilkins, Camron Frost, Luke Maddox and Lily Maddox; her great grandchildren, Logan and Caleb; her great great grandchild Holden; and her close friends, Ronnie and Tammy Watford. She is also survived by her family, her extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice House in Landrum, SC.
