She is survived by: her husband Joseph K. Black; her stepchildren, Ernest Parker Jr. (Tony) and Teresa D. Patterson of Columbia, SC.; her grandchild Ariel N. Johnson; her children, Wayne L. Black, Jr., Kiara N. Black and Nicholas F. Dean; her great grandchild Zareyah N. McDonald; her grandchildren, Leivy Z. Boyd, Xoey C. McDonald, Jaxisyn N. Boyd and Noa J. Boyd; and her sister Pauline Black. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
