He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Arline Youells Card and George Alson Card; his son Richard Alson Card, Jr.; and his sister Penny Adams. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Briar Card; his daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Pasternak (Tom) of Binghamton, NY; his daughter-in-law Candy Card of Laceyville, PA; his grandchildren, Ryan Pasternak (Emily), Travis Pasternak (Rachel), Ashley Lance (Scott), Tyler Card (Kristine) and Jessica Chipego (Tom); his great grandchildren, Thea, Mara, Liam, Gabriella, Maverick, Brayden, Brinley Mae and Carson; and his siblings, Gary Card (Michele), Arlene Pickett, Beverly Stankiewicz (Robert) and Diane Avery. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church (2575 Reidville Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301).
