It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Nelson Hewitt of Spartanburg, South Carolina, born in Clifton, South Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Belton Hewitt and Irene Hewitt; and his siblings, Margie Watson, Betty Kelley, Mattie Thornton and Gary.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia "Pat" Easler Hewitt; his children, Linda Nicholls (Steven "Gary"), David Hewitt (Christie) and Darren Hewitt (Traci); his grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson (Michelle), Ashley Newton (Brad), Skylar Herdinar (Rocky), Jamey Cheatwood (Alex), Spencer Hewitt, Allyssa Hewitt, Brantley Hewitt (Mary Carson Dowis), Riley Drake (Nathaniel) and Seth Hewitt; his great grandchildren, Blaine, Parker, Rylie, Claire, Skylar, Brayden, Brooks, Briggs, Savannah, Camryn, Talia and Sofia; and his sister-in-law Mattie Lee Trexler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 374 Hudlow Rd., Forest City, NC 28043.
