He was predeceased by: his father Luther Poole. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Brent Poole of Spartanburg and Rhonda Amy; and his grandchildren, Joey Poole of Spartanburg, Colton Poole of Roebuck, Nikita Amy and Dakota Amy (Alison).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Alzheimer's Association; 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.
