With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel David Bagwell of Spartanburg, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2024 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Susie Whitt and Stancil Oscar Bagwell; and his brother Billy Jack Bagwell. He is survived by: his wife Karen Gardner Bagwell; his children, Chad Hodge and Michelle Hodge Rhodes (Brian); and his granddaughter Hannah Rhodes.

In honor of David, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
