She was predeceased by: her father John Phoenix; her brother Bruce Nelson; and her close friend Thane Johnson. She is survived by: her mother Kay Francis Knott; her daughters, Jernee Johnson, Charmaine Johnson and Michael-Michelle Phoenix; her grandson Micah Sujilio; and her siblings, Eric Phoenix, Angela Phoenix and Jameka Knott. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
