He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McAbee and Miriam Irene Carlton McAbee; and his son Stephen Carlton Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Norris (Warren) of Kingsport, Tennessee and Chad Carlton (Sherry) of Spartanburg; his sister Patsy Tate of Woodruff; and his grandchildren, Ryan Kornahrens (Brittany), Christian Price (Anthony) and Amber Carlton.
