With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sylvia Sutka of Spartanburg, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Sylvia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Slack and Marie Blessel Slack; her husband Leo Sutka; and her sisters, Virginia Krieg and Ruth Slack.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Hoffman (Nancy) of St. Marys, Ronald Hoffman of Huntersville, NC and Ellen VanDervort of Spartanburg, SC; and her stepdaughters, Valerie Sutka of St. Marys and Mary Gore (Terry) of St. Marys. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
