He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Leonard and Myrtle Mae Cartee (Towery); his wife Judy Cartee; his children, Richard Cartee and Debra Huckabee; his siblings, Leonard "Junior" Cartee, Mary and Shropshire; his brother-in-law Silas "Junior" Blanchard; his grandsons, Tyler Cartee and Michael Simmons, Jr.; and his great great grandchild Autumn Stevens.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Waddell (Keith) of Woodruff, Tammy Lewis of Roebuck, Ashley Cartee of Cross Anchor and Bobby Cartee (Courtney) of Roebuck; his siblings, Roger Cartee (Shirley), Betty Blanchard and Judy Arrington (Leroy); and his close friend Dean Sellars. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
