He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Rumbley Irby and Arthur Frank Irby; his wife Annie Mae Irby; his grandchildren, Toney R. Irby, Jr. and Tennelle Williams; and his siblings, Minnie L. Smoker, Evelyn Shumate, Arthur F. Irby Jr. and Leon Poindexter.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly A. Irby of Georgia, Toney R. Irby, Jr. (Rhonda) of Fayetteville, David L. Irby (Kathy) of Conway, Sarah E. Irby of Spartanburg, Cynthia D. Irby of Spartanburg, James T. Irby (Wanda) of Spartanburg and Nadine M. Irby of Spartanburg; his siblings, James Irby of Gastonia, Jennie Fields (Walter) of Salisbury, Marshall Irby (Rosena) of Spartanburg and Alice McBride of Sandston, Virginia; his grandchildren, Antrown Irby, Touré Irby, Kadraus Irby, Akita Irby, Kenneka Littlejohn, Malcolm Irby, Candace Irby, Trevor Irby, Thomas Irby, Kenneth Littlejohn and Toneysha Irby; his goddaughter Peggy Jarmon; and his close friend Mary Hamilton. He is also survived by her three sons; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
