He was predeceased by: his mother Esther Gene Mathis; and his siblings, Sherry Mathis Hutchings and Bill Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Eva Mathis (Beckley); his stepchildren, Christine Montgomery (Philip) and David Beach; and his stepgranddaughters, Veronica Montgomery and Paityn Montgomery.
