He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Theodore and Carrie DeStaffno Ballard; and his siblings, Clyde A. Ballard (Jackie), Arthur T. Ballard Jr. (Ted), Charles F. Ballard (Frankie), Dennis Ray Ballard, Robert Lewis Ballard, James B Ballard and Evelyn D. Ballard.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Cecil Ballard; his daughters, Iris Ballard Mix (Ben) of Darien, CT and Eve Ballard Norris (Darwin) of Shelburne, VT; his grandchildren, Ross B. Mix of Denver, CO, Abbey Norris and Tripp Norris of Charleston, SC.; and his sister Carolyn B Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Wayne's memory to: Naturaland Trust.
