He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burton Hughes and Estell H. Felder; and his daughter Sheila Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Olivia Felkel Hughes; his children, John Hughes of Cope, Billy Hughes of Cope, Brad Hughes (Tia) of Cayce and Christina Hughes of Cope; his stepdaughter Wendy Bland of Santee; his siblings, Milton Hughes of Columbia, Johnnie Robertson (David) of Orangeburg and Helen Murphy of North; his granddaughters, Sheila Hughes and Rachel Hughes; his stepgrandchildren, Dakota Gray and Cheyanne Gray; and his great grandchild Keirra Hughes. He is also survived by four step-great grandchildren.
