He is survived by: his former wife Frances Sampson of Sumter, SC; his children, Meshalle Wood (Corey) of Greenville, NC and Jessie Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; his siblings, Grady Dixon (Dorothy) of Miami, FL, Albert Dixon (Frances) of Columbia, SC and Ruby Dixon of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Corey Golson, Teronn Wood, Tyshawn Sneed, Daquan Audain and Alayjah Crawaey; and his great grandchildren, Ceanna Golson and Kyrie Golson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
