He is survived by: his wife Janet Litton McDavid; and his children, Stephen McDavid (Helen) of Fayetteville, NC, Catherine Dolin (Stanley) of Ripley, WV, John E. McDavid III (Carol) of South Charleston, WV and Lorri Harper (Lonnie Freeman) of Manning. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
