With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Apolinaria Galang Derecho (Summerville, South Carolina), who passed away on December 25, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andres Matias and Potenciana Galang Matias. She is survived by: her husband Nestor Barriga Derecho; her caregiver Nestor Barriga Derecho; her children, Daphne Fulda (Walter), Michelle Robinson and Marlon Derecho; her grandchildren, Shannon Fulda (Tony Collins), Brenden Fulda (Danica), Christina Robinson, Benjamin Robinson (Katelyn) and Andrew Robinson; and her great grandchildren, Owen Collins, Harper Collins, Kennedy Fulda and Olivia Fulda.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
