He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayden Godfrey and Christine Bolen Godfrey; and his grandson Jason Allen Doering. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Godfrey; his daughter Christine Lee Epps (William Timothy Epps); and his grandchildren, William Dalton Epps (Kayla Epps), Ashlyn Shea Epps, Jessica Marie Doering and John Hayden Godfrey.
