She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Smith; her daughter Cynthia Cross; her grandson Nate Griph; her sisters, Paula Dunn and Gequetta Cates; and her parents, Wanda Shelton and Everett Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Miles and Chad Cross (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Kevin Griph (Chasea), Whitney Griph, Vanessa Stanton (Brett), Nick Griph (Kendra), Chad Cross II (Araceli), Brittney Rafus (Devin) and Jessica Jackson (Josh). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home (418 W College St, Jonesborough, TN 37659).
