He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Ogilvy Smith M. D.; his wife Pamela "Pam" Harmon; his former wife Carol Susan Mazyck Smith; his mother Ozeta Pauline "Bess" Beckes Smith; and his brother Ralph Beckes Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Bryan Mazyck Smith (Amy) and Charlotte Victoria McMillian Reikofski (Ken); his granddaughters, Lily Grace Carol Smith and Lucy Cordray Diana Smith; and his siblings, Susan "Suzie" Long (Earle), Eric Smith (Sheila), Sherry Taylor (Greg) and Joel Smith (Jackie).
