He is survived by: his wife Aleatha Howard (Anderson); his daughter Caroline Edwards; his son-in-law Mark Edwards; his grandchildren, William Edwards and Emma Edwards; his siblings, Eloise Bower and George Howard; his nieces, Becky Archer and Linda Staley; and his nephew Bob Bower.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summerville Presbyterian Church.
