With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Dailey of Summerville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Dailey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Forest Hammer and Opal Fern Erickson Hammer; her husband John Patrick Dailey; her sons, Robert Dean, John Glenn Dailey, Walter R. and Daniel J. Castleberry; and her siblings, Robert, Ellen, Forest "Jerry" Hammer and Dianna L. Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew Ray (Melissa) of Dauphin Island, AL and Valarie Lynne of Summerville, SC; her daughter-in-law Julie Todd (John) of Summerville, SC; her brothers, Donald Hammer (Jeanne) of Antioch, CA and Walter "Jim" Hammer (Melissa) of Brentwood, CA; her grandchildren, Rhyen (Crystal), Michael (Sara), Madilyn (Ryan), Morgan (Mason), John Davis, Connor and Grayson; and her great grandchildren, Colin, Lucas, Anna, Brycen and Jackson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Summerville Cemetery (1300 Boone Hill Rd, Summerville, SC 29483).
Flowers may be sent to Parks Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
