She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen "Jane" Tyson Gardner and Lee "Cleve" Gardner; her husband Jerry O. Hartley; and her sons, Ralph L. Akins and David T. Akins.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Akins (Leslie) and Cerah Elkins (Chris); her siblings, Lee Gardner (Dede), Sam Gardner, Rick Gardner (Tammy), Stan Gardner and Lynne Mastantuno (Rector); and her grandchildren, Michael Akins, Christian Akins, Sebastian Akins, Samantha Akins, Hailee Elkins, Alexys Warner and Ava Warner.
