He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Shope and Alma Householder Shope. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Shope; his sons, Steve Shope (Amanda) and Jeff Shope (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Chelsea Oberholtzer (Nathaniel), Holly Kennedy (Chris), Ryan Shope (Paige), Alexandra Coyle (Chris) and William Shope (Sophie Normand).
