She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hollifield and Louise Hollifield; her husband JC Smith; and her brother Raymond Hollifield. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Merting (Bob), Linda Foshee, Barbara Pittsenbarger (Dwayne) and Ronald Smith (Kara); her grandchildren, Robert Merting (Erica), Brittany Dawson (Paul) and Amy Pittsenbarger; her great grandchildren, Davis, George and Ashley Merting; and her brother David Hollifield (Judy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dorchester Memory Gardens Oakbrook Chapel (11000 Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
