He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Gilbert Burbage; his stepmother LaRue Burbage; his brothers, Glenn Edward Burbage and Marvin Gilbert Burbage; his uncle Daniel Newton Driggers; and his son Richard Edmond Burbage.
He is survived by: his wife Trina Reed Burbage; his mother Janette Turner; his children, Gene Wayne Burbage, Jr. (Kelli), James Erich Burbage (Allena), Nicholas Adam Burbage (Katie), Briana Marie Petrick (Wesley), Sierra Louise Varner and Miranda Faith Varner; and his siblings, Samuel Kale Burbage (Melissa), Grant Johnson Burbage and Donna Sue Ondrajka (Fred). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of "adopted" children and grandchildren.
