Harley R. Stokes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harley R. Stokes of Summerville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Harley farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Harley is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Phillip Stokes and Marie Horne Stokes; and his siblings, Hughlee Stokes and Margie Fishman. He is survived by: his wife Lila Patricia Truluck Stokes; his sister Carolyn McCoy; and his sons, Randy Stokes (Karen), Danny Stokes (Linda), Mark Stokes (Terri) and Robert Johnson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
