He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Burls (Blanks) and Leon Burls; and his brothers, Eddie and Barry Burls. He is survived by: his daughters, JuTeara and Aysia of Washington; his grandchildren, Sadirah Lambert, Britlynn of Washington and Xavier Longoria; his siblings, Audrey Russell (Warren) and Roger Burls; his siblings-in-law, Dawn of Washington and Kerry of Washington; and his close friend Theodore "Teddy" Pendelton. He is also survived by cousins, and a host of neices, nephews, and other family members.
