He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann Hawkins Simutis; his children, Nancy Simutis, David Simutis (Michelle), Valerie Phippen (Nathan) and Sara Rossi; his grandchildren, Hunter Phippen, Allison Newell, Blake Rossi, William Phippen, Kristin Newell and Julianna Rossi; and his siblings, Frank Simutis and Zita Simutis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
