He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Saavedra of Summerville, SC; and his children, Roland Saavedra, MD of Summerville, SC, Renato Saavedra, Jr., Alejandro Saavedra of Maryland and Patricia Saavedra of Los Andes, Chile.. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
