He was predeceased by : his parent Ben. He is survived by : his wife Mary Marie; his son James Richard Hunt of Summerville; his stepsons, John M. Brooks, Jr. (Penny) of McDonough, GA, Greg J. Brooks (Annette) of Connecticut and Jeffrey L. Brooks (Carrie) of Springfield, MO; his parent Joanlyn Edgin; his grandchildren, Triston, Zachery, Ashley, McKenna and Gabriel; his grandparent Kiara Edgin; and his siblings, James E. Hunt (Linda) of Moncks Corner, Jean Walker (John) of Summerville and Lorie Church (Carl) of St. Robert, MO..

“My initial reaction to this announcement was "tears with oh no, not Richard, another one of my class mates; he was always special and kind to me." Even though he is gone, he will remain in my memory as long I am able to remember. It is getting harder and harder to see so many of my classmates dying. Rest in peace. 😢🙏😢”
