Jennifer Westendorff-Mallard wrote a sympathy message

“We just heard about Richard. We loved Richard so much! My dad, Jamie Westendorff and him have been friends forever, at least since high school or earlier. We saw Richard every year at the Oyster Festival at Boone Hall. I was so excited we were going be seeing him this Sunday. Im very shocked to hear this ,we found out a few minutes ago. Richard was a wonderful, sweet, fun, caring man and loved his family. He would update me with pictures. We will miss Richard so much.”
