He was predeceased by: his parents, Grifford Mackey and Alene Ryan Mackey; and his siblings, Kay Brennan, Billy Mackey, Timmy Mackey, Bobby Mackey, Pearl Cuveron and Winnie Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mae Ferro Mackey; his daughters, Taryn "Chrissle" Mackey Gottfried of Kansas, Lauren "Bird" Mackey (Frank "Franco") of Summerville, SC and Cherilyn "Bo" Bannon of Lagrangeville, NY; his granddaughter Rebecca "Reborah" Winepol of Ossining, NY; his brothers, Joseph Mackey of Jacksonville, FL and Donald Mackey (Lea) of Buchanan, NY; and his grandchildren, Jared Tennant, Daniel Amato, Norah Bannon and Kelsey Amato. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
