He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Baird and Peggy Bradley Baird; his stepson Chad Infinger; and his brother-in-law Larry McIntosh. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Darden Baird; his children, Doug (Christi), Grace and Allison (Charlie); his grandchildren, Cole, Hunter and Hadley; his stepson Curtis (Ami); his children, Jonathan, Cohen and Alexander; his sister Linda McIntosh; his nieces and nephews, Stormy, Brandy and Vicky Edwards (Frank); his children, Cade and Brystol; his brother Troy (Josephine); and his nieces and nephews, Tee, Hal, Evans and Josie. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Harleyville Methodist Church.
