He was predeceased by: his parents, Price Julian Whitson and Dorothy Dixon Whitson; and his brother Warren Brian Whitson. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Murphree Whitson; his children, Christina Bailey Whitson and Greg Julian Whitson (Meg); his grandchildren, Micah Elizabeth Whitson, Ada Ruth Whitson and Flora Lou Whitson; his sister Joanne Fogle; his nieces and nephews, Dusty Fogle (Heather), Brian Whitson, Kelly McAlarney (Jonas) and Shannon Sipes (Jordan); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley, Will McAlarney, Seth, Jordan Fogle, Ethan Sipes, Ellie and Deen Whitson.
