He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Spencer (Justin) and Michael Ankenbauer; his grandchildren, Trey Ankenbauer, Trevor Ankenbauer, Heaven Spencer and Jesse Spencer; his siblings, Cynthia Kennedy and Danny McJunkin (Angela); and his siblings' children, Michael Smith, Amy Smith, Daniel McJunkin and Khristopher Ankenbauer.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Carolina Memorial Park (7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406).
