He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Van Ness (Belanger); his children, William Earl Van Ness, Alexander Van Ness, Jennifer Alatorre (Vernon) and Amber Van Ness; his siblings, Thomas Van Ness (Christine) and Cheryl Van Ness; and his sister-in-law Christine Van Ness.
