He is survived by: his wife Nancy Feagin Kirkland of Summerville, SC; his children, William "Steve" Kirkland of Summerville, SC and Karen D. Johnston (Kirkland) of Summerville, SC; and his grandchildren, Kali D. M. Allen, Kirkland Allen and Lainey Johnston. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
