He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Schlee and Helen L. Schlee (Kilpatrick); his daughter Carolyn Schlee; and his siblings, Shirley Hill and Leonard Schlee.

He is survived by: his former wife Nedra Fadeley; his children, Michael and Jennifer Schlee; his grandchildren, Olivia, Alex and Morgan; and his sisters, Sarah Hill, Clara Williamson and June Davis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
