Alice M. Waddell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice M. Waddell (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on April 27, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Cecil Waddell; her parents, Furmer Worthington Jackson and Bertha Alice Smitherman Jackson; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Nichols, Dimples Billadeau, Betty Atchison, Evelyn Davenport, Harold Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Rueben Jackson and James Willie Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Michael D. Waddell (Peggy) of Sumter, Cathy Hafner (Mark) of Houston, Lyle Waddell of Sumter and Lynn Waddell of Charlotte, N. C.; and her brother Mack Jackson of Northport, AL. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
