She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shaw and Dinah Shaw; her husband Isaac Durant; her daughter Almeta Dian; and her siblings, Paul Shaw, Thomasine Abrams, Ann Shaw and Johnnie Mae Gibson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria, Jennifer and Sylvia; and her siblings, Minnie Greg, Evelina Parrott, Luegenia Yates, Dinah Shaw, Josephine Jennings and Moise Shaw. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Palmer Memorial Chapel (304 S Main St, Sumter, SC 29150). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Zion AME Church Cemetery (78 Elliott Hwy, Bishopville, SC 29010).
