She is survived by: her husband Robert Witherspoon; her children, Robert A. Witherspoon (Elaine) of Abilene, TX, Dr. Felicia Tention of Columbia and Michael Witherspoon (Tilwanna) of Fort Mill; her adoptive daughter Shay; her godchildren, Torah Dukes and Dawan Wells; her grandchildren, Jaylen Tention, Allison Witherspoon, Nevin Elliott, Michael Witherspoon II, Mason Witherspoon and Morgan Witherspoon; and her siblings, Gloria Carter, Carolyn Smith (Sylvia Glasscho), Mary Scriven of Whiteville, N. C., Wilbur Lee of Sumter, Charles of Sumter, Joe Louis of Sumter, Michael of Sumter and Alphonza of Sumter. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 724 Brand Street, Sumter.
