He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Anne Blanchard Mockalis; his parents, Roman Mockalis and Marion Jacobs Mockalis; and his siblings, George Mockalis and Dorothy Dunn.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Mockalis (Dawn) of Sumter and Kimberly Cordon of Colorado; his siblings-in-law, Carol Mockalis of Vidalia, GA and Anthony Blanchard of Ellicot City, MD; his grandchildren, James, Benjamin, Isabella and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Cordelia, Hadley, Rosalee and Camden.
He sang in the choir as well as volunteered for many of the charity projects throughout the church.
