With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barry Len Mains (Sumter, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barry departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barry. Though Barry may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Harvey Mains and Betty Loretta Mauldin; and his nephew Gregg Mains. He is survived by: his siblings, James "Jimmy" Mains (Kathy), Veronica "Vicky" Steele (Bryan) and Deanna Gray (Paul). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
