Bernard Edward Sanders Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Edward Sanders (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mae Porter and Ernest Sanders; and his siblings, Jeanette Scarborough, William Sanders, Terry Sanders, Levy Lemar Portfield and Edward Griffin, III.
He is survived by: his daughter Latoria "Tori" Davis; his grandchildren, Nijah Davis and Jonee'McClain; and his siblings, Gwendoly Sanders, Shelia Cynthia Porter, Ernest Sanders, Jr. (Lisa), Samuel Norris Sanders, Debuin Sanders (Charisse) and Pedro Griffin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whites Mortuary (517 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Jehovah Baptist Church (805 S Harvin St, Sumter, SC 29150). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
