She was predeceased by: her parents, Denis Miller and Rosa C. Carson Miller; her siblings, Roger, Charlie, John Miller and Ruth Miller Helton; her brother-in-law Ben Helton, Jr.; Onyea Helton.
She is survived by: her sisters, Georgia Miller of New Jersey and Ruby Shuler of Orangeburg; her niece Sharon Helton Massey; her sister-in-law Marion Miller of Perry, Georgia; her close friend Gail Bryant Allen; her niece Deandra Miller; her godchildren, Tony Willis, Ashleigh Walker and Carrietta Cook; her great-niece Kimouri Massey; her great-nephew Ja'juan Massey; her friends, Martha Colclough Chandler, Gloria McKnight Ragin, Phyllis Way and Oliver Francis; her nephew Shawn Helton; Jaceon "Jace" McKenzie. She is also survived by nine other nieces; eight other nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations from 3:00 p. m. – 5:00 p. m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the home of her best friend, Gail Allen, 123 John Street, Sumter.
