She is survived by: her mother Sarah E. James; her children, Jacqueline R. Massingill of Fairfax, VA, Herbert Massingill III (Niesha) of Florida and Russell T. Massingill of Sumter, SC; her siblings, Albertus Tomlin (Betty) of Sumter, SC, Matthew James (Gloria) of Sumter, SC, Kenneth R. James of Sumter, SC, Jimmy L. James of Sumter, SC and Barbara J. Levine; her aunt Sadie A. Myers (Timothy); and her granddaughter Dajsha Massingill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whites Mortuary (517 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Congruity Presbyterian Church (3750 Congruity Rd, Gable, SC 29051). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at the Congruity Presbyterian Church Cemetery (3750 Congruity Rd, Gable, SC 29051).
