He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrie T. Avin and Nora McLeod Avin. He is survived by: his wife June Elliott Avin; his children, Jason Travers (Melissa), Chris Avin and Audra Jo "A. J." Lewis; his stepson Chris Kelly; and his siblings, Wayne Avin, Diane Turbeville (Michael), Rosalee Griffin and Hilda Glava.
